We are a completely community operated project. Every call that comes through the Lifeline from detention is paid for by supporters just like you. The population the Lifeline typically serves is so isolated, sometimes without even family in the United States to support them. Without the Lifeline these immigrants wouldn’t be able to call anyone for help.
The same private corporations who run these facilities also operate the phone systems. Every twenty-minute call we have with a detained immigrant costs on-average $5. One way to support the work today would be to just donate $5 and help us cover the next call.
